The Kokoda Challenge Lake Macquarie event will take place at Olney State Forest from the 12-13 October 2024. The Kokoda Challenge is a team endurance event that pays respects to fallen Australian Defence Force members and raises funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation's youth programs. The terrain is supposed to best emulate what you would find on the real Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea so you can gain a better understanding of what defence forces faced in 1942.The Lake Macquarie event offers teams 3 distances for teams to choose from including 18km, 30km and 48km distances.
