The Byron Coast Charity Walk, formerly the Ballina to Byron Bay charity walk will return on the 22nd of May 2021 (2020 event cancelled). A fundraising event for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter, the route is mixed terrain with stunning scenery from Dening Park, Byron Bay to Ballina Surf Life Saving Club. Participants can choose from three distances all starting from Dening Park: Broken Head Reserve (12km), Lennox Head SLSC (24km) and Ballina SLSC (36km). Complete the challenge solo or in teams of 2 to 20 people and help contribute to the 3.5m needed annually to keep the Life Saver Rescue Helicopter service flying.
