Olympic, Sprint and Tempta Triathlon plus Aquabike & Aquathlon + Kids Tri

The Byron Bay Tri will return on the 11th of May 2024. Traditionally held on the Mother’s Day weekend every year, the event signals the last race in the QLD/NSW triathlon calendar.

The Olympic course takes place along Byron Bay's stunning coastline with a 1.5km ocean swim in the crystal clear waters of Byron Bay; a 40km cycle to Suffolk Park and a 10km run along the foreshore. 

The Sprint course involves a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run. 

The Tempta distance is a 300m swim, 10km bike and 3km run. 

Aquabike distances are available for the Sprint and Olympic distances, without the run. Olympic: 1.5km swim, 40km bike. Sprint: 750m swim & 20km bike. 

The Aquathlon event is a 1km swim and 5km run. 

Kids aged 7-12 can also have a go with a 100m swim, 3km bike and 400m run.
