After much anticipation the extremely popular annual Sun Run Cole Classic which takes place in Sydney's Northern Beaches has been confirmed to take place on the 6th of February 2022. Thousands of swimmers will gather in Manly to take part in one of Australia’s largest ocean swims, giving participants the opportunity to test their swimming abilities over 1km, 2km and 5km courses. The weekend also offers the chance to combine both running and swimming and participate in the Aquathlon which consists of a 2km Run, 500m swim, and a 6km Run. The Sun Run and Cole Classic will be owned and managed by the Northern Beaches Council and the Manly Life Saving Club following the merger of Fairfax with Nine last year and the offloading of Fairfax's events portfolio.
